Say cheese!

Yesterday we had a major photo session here at our home. At a silent auction that we attended in October, for a fundraiser dinner to support HDSA (Huntington’s Disease Society of America), Scott won a photo session with a couple who do family portraits. Now this wasn’t the kind of photo shoot where you dress up in fun clothes, smile a lot and possibly get a holiday card picture. This was the kind of session where you wear the same color clothing so no one notices it and the focus of the picture is the connection between the people, a real family portrait, a real heirloom for your family to have.

Well, we had so much fun and Kaylee was wonderful through it all. My mom was here to help out with Kaylee, getting “the star” ready for her first real photo shoot. We had three different outfits that we tried for her – all white, all black, and naked. It was a 3 hour session and she was in great spirits the whole time. The photographers are coming back on Wednesday to present a slide show of the photographs and I can’t wait to see what they look like!

Here’s us posing for a multi-generational shot, the one set-up without Scott (which is why we have a photo of it!) The camera was looking at Kaylee’s body with just my hands by her head and my mom’s hands by her feet. I’m really excited to see how they come out. Hopefully we’ll be able to get a digital version of the one or two we decide to get.
